The new speaker of the House skipped a nationally televised memorial in Arizona honoring victims of Saturday’s shootings, opting instead to host a cocktail party Wednesday night.
Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) declined an offer to ride to Tucson on Air Force One with President Barack Obama and other lawmakers, Politico reported.
When all they seem interested in is their own greed and self-interest, I don’t understand how they still get away with saying they’re the “party of the people”

Well, attending a memorial is so much more of a downer than an RNC cocktail party—-you know, what with all the tragedy and mourning. Clearly, hosting parties is much more important than running one responsibly. Get off Boehner’s back…jeez.
