Amos Barshad calls it “a step in the wrong direction,” but I fail to see how any song with lines about Jeremy Shockey (“I’m still a Giant/y’all Jeremy Shockey”), McLovin, and A-Rod (“They my material girls/give’em A-Rod money!”) is worse than 98 percent of radio rap. Do you know how many times I heard “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” this weekend?

Round and round this goes, with the people committed to saving newspapers demanding to know “If the old model is broken, what will work in its place?” To which the answer is: Nothing. Nothing will work. There is no general model for newspapers to replace the one the internet just broke.

Rex Hughes clocked in as Rex 15 today. The former NBA head coach called Greg “Edward James Olmos” Popovich “that guy from San Antonio.

The Rex Streak Continues...Day 13
What began as pure coincidence has now entered its 4th week on the Jim Rome Show. On Feb. 11, Rome interviewed former NBA-er Rex Chapman. The next day he interviewed new Jets head coach Rex Ryan, and informed listeners he would be interviewing former baseball player Rex Hudler Friday, Feb. 13. One clone was quick to write in that Rome had a streak of three Rexes in three straight shows.
